The Vines is an extraordinary place that offers a fantastic atmosphere from the moment you walk in until it’s time to leave. The staff is incredibly friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. Every morning, the center is spotless, and they keep me updated on my child’s progress through the story park app.
One of the things I admire most about The Vines is how they embrace and celebrate diversity. They honour so many cultures during different language weeks throughout the year, whether it’s teaching the children songs, dances, phrases, or even how to make simple dishes from different cultures.
My son has learned so much from his experiences at The Vines and has formed special bonds with each of the staff members. I’m grateful for their hard work and dedication to creating a safe and happy environment for the children who attend. The team at The Vines is always ready to address any concerns or issues that may arise, putting parents’ minds at ease.

This place is amazing😍 Staff are super friendly and polite. My son enjoys his days here and always returns home bubbly and energetic. He boasts about his days and often mentions his interactions with his teachers. They make pick up and drop of times a breeze with their caring nature and expertise. My son is a very fussy eater but the staff are great at encouraging him daily to try new foods and trying their best to have him fed to the best of their abilities. (Offering him a bottle of milk if he refuses food). I love this centre so much and am happy that both my children have had the chance to experience the magic of the place. Massive thanks to the Staff and teachers for all their hard work and knowledge. I would highly recommend if your seeking a safe , fun , nurturing environment for your little ones to flourish and grow. There is always so much learning taking place and a new joy with each day. I would highly recommend this childcare centre. The owners, management and all the staff are amazing people!
As soon as you walk in the door you feel so welcomed by the wonderful receptionist. The teachers are fantastic, kind and have a genuine interest and love for the children.
The centre is clean and has great resources for the children and the centre cook makes delicious nutritious meals for the children.

Our passionate, qualified kaiako are committed to providing the individualised attention and care that helps tamariki flourish. We celebrate the uniqueness of every child and allow them to learn and grow in their own time. From our inviting indoor spaces to our exciting, challenging outdoor areas, our centre is thoughtfully designed to support every stage of your child’s development.

Our growing areas – designed to inspire

We have six age-appropriate rooms: spaces catering to the needs, interests, and abilities of different developmental stages. Each room has its own set of resources and activities tailored to support each child’s journey.

Seedlings/Kākano – The Nursery Room

This space for non-mobile tamariki under 2 years old is designed with flexibility in mind. Meal and sleep times are adjusted to each child’s routine, ensuring all their needs are met during their time in our care.

Sprouts/Tipu – Toddler 1 Room

This room caters to mobile children under 2 years old. The focus is on child-led exploration, free play, and quiet time for early risers. The indoor and outdoor learning opportunities encourage independence and discovery.

Shoots/Pihi – Toddler 2 Room

This is the space for our active 2-year-olds. Here, children have a well-balanced routine during the day that includes free play, kai time, mat time, and quiet activities.

Blooms/Puāwai – Preschool 1 and 2 Rooms

For tamariki aged 3 to 4 years old, these two rooms introduce more structure yet still offer plenty of opportunities for free play. Children enjoy active time, tidy-up time, mat time, and moments for quiet reflection.

Grapes/Karepe – Preschool 3 Room

Our room for 4+ year-olds is all about preparation for school. The daily routine blends free play, table activities, and quiet learning time to build confidence, curiosity, and skills for their next stage of learning.
